Canterbury House is a family run business established in 1935 by John & Adeline Holgate who opened a small watch repair and jewellery business in Doncaster, that has gradually grown in size. The premises were expanded in 1969 enabling us to incorporate fine china and gifts among the beautiful things we keep in stock.
Today Canterbury House is now run by Martin Holgate and his partner Justine and are committed to maintaining the highest standards of service and customer care.

Do you offer repairs?
At Canterbury House we can carry out quality repairs on all types of jewellery with our resident Goldsmith able to repair most items on the premises. Both machine and hand engraving services are available in store enabling you to customise your gits and keepsakes. And if you’re looking for originality, we also offer a bespoke design service where you can select the diamonds or precious stones of your choice and have your jewellery piece tailor made to personal specifications. Jewellery remodelling, pearl re-threading and ring sizing services are also available.
We provide a fully guaranteed repair service to most brands of watches including Rolex and Omega. We take pride in our quality restorations and whether you’re looking for a general service, a repair or replacement of existing mechanics, at Canterbury House we can help.
New batteries, straps and bracelets are usually fitted while you wait.
